Kiko Kostadinov is excited about the opening of his new store in East London this Friday. The store, located at 21 Whiston Road, will feature a unique blend of menswear designed by Kostadinov himself and womenswear created by Laura and Deanna Fanning. The space is currently under construction, with a power drill buzzing in the background as Kostadinov discusses the upcoming show.
The new store will be part of a trilogy of ad hoc Kostadinov flagships that have grown independently. Tokyo opened in March 2024, followed by Los Angeles last November. Each store operates with local programming and generates content through its own Instagram account. The London store will follow a similar organic rhythm, opening Thursday to Saturday, and possibly on Sundays to coincide with the nearby Columbia Road Flower Market.
The space will feature a reassembled artwork by collaborators Ryan Trecartin and Lizzie Fitch. Kostadinov describes it as “an artwork recontextualized into a store,” adding to the narrative between the three stores in Tokyo, LA, and now London. The installation piece arrives in 10 crates and is still being pieced together, but Kostadinov is confident they will meet the Friday deadline.
The London store will offer a unique shopping experience, with a focus on blending menswear and womenswear in a creative and innovative way. Kostadinov’s vision for the store is to create a space that reflects his unique design aesthetic and offers customers a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. With the opening just days away, Kostadinov is eagerly anticipating sharing his latest collection with the world.
