Millie Bobby Brown Opens Up About Tension with David Harbour
Despite their on-screen chemistry in the hit series “Stranger Things,” it seems that there may have been some tension between Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour behind the scenes. While Harbour has been known to play a protective father figure to Brown’s character Eleven, there were moments when Brown hinted at a different dynamic between the two.
In a recent interview with MTV in March 2024, Brown revealed details about her upcoming wedding to Jake Bongiovi, scheduled to take place just two months later. The journalist playfully suggested a “Stranger Things-themed ceremony,” proposing that Brown walk down the aisle to the show’s iconic soundtrack.
As the conversation turned to Harbour officiating the wedding, Brown’s demeanor noticeably changed. Initially agreeing to the idea with a hesitant “Yes,” she quickly backtracked with a nervous laugh, stating, “I don’t know how I feel about that. Sure.” It was clear that there may have been some unresolved issues between the two co-stars.
Deciding to switch gears, Brown suggested that Matthew Modine, who portrays Martin Brenner on the show, should officiate the wedding instead. In a surprising turn of events, Modine did end up officiating the May ceremony, perhaps indicating a shift in Brown’s relationship with Harbour.
While their on-screen bond may be strong, it seems that there may have been some underlying tension between Brown and Harbour off-screen. Only time will tell if their relationship will continue to evolve, both on and off the set of “Stranger Things.”
