Chicago police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who allegedly stabbed a woman on the UIC-Halsted Blue Line platform late Saturday night. The incident took place at approximately 11:14 p.m. on November 8, when the suspect reportedly retrieved a large knife from his backpack, approached a woman sitting on a bench, and stabbed her in the chest.
A surveillance image released by the Chicago Police Department shows the man walking along the platform with a large knife in his right hand. Following the attack, he exited the station and was last spotted walking north on South Morgan Street. The suspect is described as a Black male, standing about 6 feet tall and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds. He was dressed in a pink beanie, gray hooded jacket, orange sweater, light blue jeans, and white shoes, and carrying a gray book bag.
