Nine thieves in Virginia were caught on camera pulling off a heist in a hilariously cramped manner. The suspects, all wearing masks, were spotted piling out of a single sedan, with two even emerging from the trunk, before robbing a building in Warrenton.
The surveillance footage, reminiscent of a scene from a slapstick comedy, shows the nine crooks arriving in a tiny Hyundai Sonata at a parking lot on October 15. Despite the limited space, all of them managed to squeeze out of the vehicle before heading off to commit the robbery.
The Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia is now seeking help to identify the suspects involved in the bizarre crime. The video footage captured the thieves’ unusual getaway vehicle and their subsequent robbery of a nearby commercial building.
The motive behind the heist remains unclear, as well as the nature of the stolen items. It’s a mystery how the nine individuals managed to fit in the car together, let alone any loot they may have taken from the building.
The comical nature of the incident has left many scratching their heads, with the absurdity of the situation making it a memorable case for law enforcement officials. The image of nine masked thieves emerging from a single sedan is definitely one for the books.
