GQ’s annual Men of the Year bash made a triumphant return to Los Angeles on Thursday night, coinciding with the first drops of rain on Sunset Boulevard. Despite the ominous weather, the mood at the 30th-anniversary celebration was nothing short of electric. The theme for the evening was a nod to the past: party like it’s 1995.

The Chateau Marmont was the place to be as GQ took over the entire first floor for a star-studded, standing-room-only event. Global editorial director Will Welch led the festivities, joined by a lineup of co-hosts and cover stars that included Stephen Colbert, Sydney Sweeney, Seth Rogen, SZA, Oscar Isaac, Clipse, and Hailey Bieber. Honorees like Walton Goggins, Will Arnett, Haider Ackermann, Morgan Spector, Carrie Coon, and MJ Lenderman added to the star power of the evening.

The atmosphere inside the Chateau was a mix of glamour, chaos, and serendipitous encounters. Alexander Skarsgård made a bold fashion statement by opting for tailored shorts instead of trousers, while John C. Reilly sported a bowler hat outdoors. Inside, conversations flowed as Colbert and Rogen held court on the terrace, and Bieber, Kendall Jenner, and Devon Lee Carlson transformed the ladies’ room into a supermodel hub.

The guest list was a who’s who of Hollywood, with the likes of Paris Jackson, Regé-Jean Page, André 3000, Cara Delevingne, Olivia Rodrigo, Sombr, and Cai Xukun mingling throughout the evening. Noah Baumbach, Leon Bridges, Kiernan Shipka, and Patrick Schwarzenegger added to the star-studded crowd.

The retro vibe of the evening extended to the culinary offerings, with caviar bumps, martinis, and mini grilled cheeses making the rounds. And no Hollywood party would be complete without surprise performances. MJ Lenderman kicked things off with a set, followed by Pusha T, who had the entire room singing along to his hits.

The Men of the Year bash was a night to remember, blending nostalgia with modern-day star power in a celebration that captured the essence of GQ’s legacy.
