Japanese Pop Star Ren Meguro Joins “Shogun” Season 2 Cast

Japanese pop star and actor Ren Meguro has been announced as the latest addition to the cast of “Shogun” Season 2. Meguro, known for his work in the idol group Snow Man and various television productions, will take on the role of Kazutada in the upcoming season.

Expressing his excitement for joining the series, Meguro stated, “I am incredibly honored to join the cast of ‘Shogun’ season two. The unique and grand portrayal of Japan in the series resonated with me, and I felt a strong desire to be a part of this groundbreaking production.”

As he prepares to take on his role in the series, Meguro added, “I am committed to honoring the legacy of those before me and bringing my best to this remarkable series. I can’t wait for viewers to experience ‘Shogun’ Season 2 and join us on this incredible journey.”

Meguro joins a talented cast of newcomers including Asami Mizukawa, Masataka Kubota, Sho Kaneta, Takaaki Enoki, and Jun Kunimura. Returning original cast members include Hiroyuki Sanada, Cosmo Jarvis, Fumi Nikaidô, and more.

“Shogun” Season 2 is set to continue the saga of two men from different worlds, ten years after the events of the first season. Directors Hiromi Kamata and Takeshi Fukunaga, along with other notable directors, are set to helm episodes for the upcoming season.

The series, based on the 1975 James Clavell novel, was created for television by Rachel Kondo and Justin Marks. With a talented team of writers and producers on board, “Shogun” Season 2 promises to deliver a captivating and historically-inspired narrative for viewers to enjoy.
