Netflix has unveiled a sneak peek of its upcoming action-drama series “Man on Fire,” set to premiere on April 30th. The series is based on A.J. Quinnell’s book series of the same name and follows the story of John Creasy, portrayed by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Creasy, a former high-functioning Special Forces Mercenary, is now grappling with intense PTSD. Despite his personal demons, he is determined to find redemption. However, his path to a new life is quickly interrupted as he finds himself back in the midst of danger, fighting harder than ever.

Joining Abdul-Mateen II in the seven-episode season are Billie Boullet, Bobby Cannavale, Alice Braga, Scoot McNairy, and Paul Ben-Victor. The show is created and written by Kyle Killen, who also serves as the showrunner. The executive producers include Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan, and Natalie Lehmann for New Regency Productions; Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, and Tracey Cook for Chernin Entertainment; Kyle Killen and Scott Pennington for Chapter Eleven; and Stacy Perskie for RedRum. Steven Caple Jr. will direct the first two episodes and serve as an executive producer.

In other casting news, Jeff Daniels has been cast in a recurring guest role for Season 5 of Apple TV’s “The Morning Show.” Daniels will portray Lukas, a self-made billionaire and founder of an investment firm. He joins a star-studded cast including Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, and more.

AMC Networks has also announced the renewal of its drama series “The Audacity” for an eight-episode Season 2. The show, set in Silicon Valley, explores the lives of tech innovators and the ethical dilemmas they face. The first season will premiere on April 12 and stars Billy Magnussen, Sarah Goldberg, Zach Galifianakis, and others.
