The market for AI-powered gadgets is expanding rapidly, with a new wave of devices aiming to integrate artificial intelligence into our daily lives like never before. These AI wearables come in various forms, from necklaces and rings to wristbands and portable devices, offering a range of functionalities that promise to make our lives easier and more efficient.

One such device is Bee, an affordable pendant priced at $49.99 that can be clipped to your clothing or worn like a fitness band. Bee records everything it hears, learns your routines and preferences, and creates reminders and notes for you. It even has a mute button for times when you want privacy. The companion app, available only on iOS for now, allows you to interact with Bee directly, ask it questions, and receive key takeaways from your day.

Another notable device is Friend, a $129 pendant that functions as an emotional support companion. It recognizes your tone and mood, allowing you to chat with it as if it were a friend. Friend connects to your phone via Bluetooth and listens constantly, ready to respond or send proactive messages. However, it has faced criticism for its subway ad campaign in NYC, with some people labeling it as “surveillance capitalism.”

Limitless, formerly known as Rewind, is a conversation-recording pendant priced at $99. This device transcribes meetings, calls, and conversations (with consent) into searchable and summarized knowledge, making it ideal for professionals, especially journalists. The companion app offers 10 hours of AI features per month, with the option to unlock unlimited features for $29 per month.

Omi, priced at $89, can answer your questions, summarize conversations, create to-do lists, and help schedule meetings. It constantly listens and runs conversations through ChatGPT to offer personalized advice. Omi can be worn as a necklace and attached to the side of your head with medical tape to detect when you’re speaking to it.

Plaud’s NotePin, priced at $159, is a tiny wearable voice recorder that transcribes and summarizes recordings in real-time on your phone. It includes 300 free monthly transcription minutes, with the option to upgrade to 1,200 minutes with the $8.33 per month Pro plan. The company is also launching a $179 ultra-thin note-taking device called the Plaud Note Pro, available for preorder.

Rabbit R1, priced at $199, is a retro-styled handheld device with a touchscreen and rotating camera. Designed to be phone-adjacent, it allows you to book flights, order meals, and control apps without needing to pull out your phone. Following a crucial software update, the Rabbit R1 now boasts expanded AI features, including the ability to build custom tools and games.

As the market for AI-powered gadgets continues to evolve, these devices offer a glimpse into the future of wearable technology and the seamless integration of artificial intelligence into our daily lives.
