The highly anticipated Season 3 of “One Piece” is currently in production for Netflix in Cape Town, South Africa. This news comes after the streamer renewed the live-action adaptation of the popular manga and anime series for a third season even before the premiere of Season 2, which is set to air on March 10, 2026.
Excitingly, Season 2 cast members Mikaela Hoover, Joe Manganiello, Lera Abova, and Sendhil Ramamurthy have all been promoted to series regulars for the upcoming season. The returning stars include Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero, and Taz Skylar, alongside new cast members such as Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday. Additionally, Cole Escola will be joining Season 3 as Bon Clay, and Xolo Maridueña will take on the role of Portgas D. Ace.
Season 2 of the show has been officially titled “One Piece: Into the Grand Line.” The season promises fiercer adversaries and more perilous quests as Luffy and the Straw Hats embark on a journey through the legendary Grand Line in search of the world’s greatest treasure, encountering strange islands and formidable enemies along the way.
The showrunners, writers, and executive producers for Season 2 are Matt Owens and Joe Tracz, while Tracz and Ian Stokes will take on those roles for Season 3. Executive producers include “One Piece” creator Eiichiro Oda, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Tetsu Fujimura, Chris Symes, Christoph Schrewe, and Steven Maeda. The series is a collaboration between Tomorrow Studios, Shueisha, and Netflix.
