NBCUniversal’s new stand-alone NBC Sports Network has recently partnered with Comcast Xfinity TV to bring live games and sports content to select cable packages. This 24-hour linear network offers a wide range of sports programming, including NBA and WNBA games, English Premier League soccer, college basketball, golf, and starting in 2026, Major League Baseball games.
Previously only available on YouTube TV, NBCSN can now be accessed through Xfinity’s Popular TV package and Sports & News TV bundle. The network features content that was previously exclusive to NBCU’s Peacock streaming service, with some events remaining solely on Peacock, such as a special NFL Week 17 game and a portion of Olympics coverage.
Some of the highlights on the new NBC Sports Network include Monday Night NBA games, Premier League soccer matches, WNBA games, college football and basketball, golf majors, cycling events like the Tour de France, horse racing, and Olympic sports like figure skating, skiing, gymnastics, and swimming. Additionally, the network offers popular studio shows like “PFT Live,” “The Dan Patrick Show,” “The Dan Le Batard Show,” and “Fantasy Football Happy Hour” with Matthew Berry.
Originally founded as the Outdoor Life Network in 1995, NBCSN has undergone several name changes, including Versus before becoming NBC Sports Network in 2012. After being shut down by NBCU at the end of 2021, the network has been revived to bring sports fans exciting live coverage and analysis.
With its diverse range of sports content and popular studio shows, the new NBC Sports Network is sure to be a hit with sports fans looking for comprehensive coverage of their favorite teams and events. Don’t miss out on all the action available on this revamped sports network now available on Comcast Xfinity TV.
