A highly-anticipated revival of the popular medical comedy series, “Scrubs,” is set to hit screens soon, bringing back beloved characters and introducing new faces to the mix. The teaser for the upcoming series has fans buzzing with excitement as Zach Braff returns to Sacred Heart Hospital as the lovable Dr. J.D. Dorian, 15 years after the original show concluded.

Joining Braff in the revival are Donald Faison reprising his role as Dr. Christopher Turk and Sarah Chalke returning as Dr. Elliot Reid. The official logline for the reboot promises a reunion of the iconic bromance between J.D. and Turk, as they navigate the changes in the medical field alongside new and old characters at Sacred Heart.

The new cast members joining the ensemble at Sacred Heart include Vanessa Bayer, Joel Kim Booster, Ava Bunn, Jacob Dudman, David Gridley, Layla Mohammadi, and Amanda Morrow. Additionally, familiar faces like Robert Maschio, Phill Lewis, Judy Reyes, and John C. McGinley will be making a comeback to delight fans.

Originally premiering in 2001 on NBC, “Scrubs” ran for seven seasons before ABC picked it up for an eighth season. The show was later renewed for a ninth season, focusing on a new group of medical students at Sacred Heart, with Braff making guest appearances in a few episodes.

The revival of “Scrubs” is in good hands with executive producers and showrunners Tim Hobert and Aseem Batra at the helm. The team also includes original cast members Braff, Faison, and Chalke, along with Randall Winston, Bill Lawrence, Jeff Ingold, and Liza Katzer as additional executive producers. 20th Television is producing the series.
