President Trump excludes South Africa from G-20 summit over alleged genocide of white farmers

President Trump has announced that representatives from South Africa will not be invited to the next year’s G-20 summit in Miami, citing accusations of a “genocide” of white farmers in the country.

This decision follows a US boycott of this year’s G-20 summit in Johannesburg, with Trump reiterating his claims against the South African government on Truth Social.

“At my direction, South Africa will NOT be receiving an invitation to the 2026 G20 hosted in Miami,” Trump stated. “South Africa has demonstrated they are not a country worthy of Membership anywhere, and we are going to stop all payments and subsidies to them, effective immediately.”

Trump highlighted that the US skipped this year’s G-20 due to the South African government’s failure to address alleged human rights abuses against Afrikaners and other settlers.

“To put it more bluntly, they are killing white people, and randomly allowing their farms to be taken from them,” he added.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has denied the genocide allegations against white farmers, despite evidence presented by Trump during a White House meeting earlier this year.

Trump has offered refugee status in the US to some white minority South Africans – Afrikaners – in response to the alleged humanitarian crisis.

The upcoming G20 summit in Miami will coincide with the nation’s 250th anniversary and will be held at Trump National Doral Miami, marking the first time the US has hosted the forum since 2009.
