Virginia football coach Travis Turner, who went missing amid allegations of child pornography and solicitation of a minor, has been removed from the Union High School website. Turner, 46, was previously celebrated for his role in the Union Bears football team’s successful season.
Following the issuance of 10 warrants for Turner’s arrest, the school’s website no longer mentions him, despite his 11 years of service as a football coach and physical education teacher. His son, Bailey Turner, is still listed on the website, but no head coach for varsity football is currently displayed.
Turner disappeared from his home last week as investigators were en route, prompting his placement on paid leave. Subsequently, warrants were issued for his arrest on charges related to child pornography and solicitation of a minor.
Despite the ongoing investigation, Turner’s wife, Leslie Turner, maintains his innocence. Turner comes from a football-oriented family, with his father, Tom Turner, also having coached at Union High. In a separate incident, another Union High employee was convicted of child solicitation in 2023.
