Trump’s Love for Fast Food Extended to His Team, Reveals Michael Wolff
Michael Wolff recently shed light on Trump’s eating habits, which not only impacted the former president but also his team. According to Wolff, there was a tacit understanding within Trump’s inner circle that fast food was a staple of the job. He likened navigating this dietary minefield to a risky endeavor, suggesting that anyone who attempted to steer clear of fast food was bound to face backlash.
One of the most telling incidents that exemplified Trump’s affinity for fast food was captured in a photo featuring him alongside Elon Musk and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. aboard Trump Force One in November 2024. In the image, the trio was surrounded by plates of McDonald’s fare, prompting Health and Human Services Secretary, who is known for his health-conscious lifestyle, to express his reluctance to indulge in such unhealthy options. Despite his reservations, the pervasive presence of fast food was undeniable.
Wolff’s observations further underscored the prevalence of fast food within Trump’s circles, noting that it was often the go-to menu choice. This was exemplified when Trump hosted the North Dakota State Bison team, the 2018 Division I FCS National Champions, at the White House in March 2019. Instead of a lavish spread, the athletes were greeted with tables laden with McDonald’s hamburgers, Chick-fil-A sandwiches, and other fast food offerings in the state dining room.
It is evident that Trump’s penchant for fast food extended beyond his personal preferences to encompass his interactions with guests and team members. This revelation offers a glimpse into the unique culinary landscape that defined Trump’s presidency, characterized by a reliance on fast food as a ubiquitous dining option.
