Fremantle, a prominent production company, has successfully secured a series of scripted sales across Asia, showcasing a diverse range of captivating dramas. One of the standout series is “Sandokan: The Pirate Prince,” a thrilling action-adventure show based on Emilio Salgari’s classic saga. Starring talented actors such as Can Yaman and Ed Westwick, the series has been acquired by various platforms in Asia, including Rewind’s Hits Now, Hulu in Japan, and LG U+ in South Korea.

Another notable production from Fremantle is “Hotel Costiera,” a fast-paced drama directed by Emmy winner Adam Bernstein. The series, featuring Jesse Williams in a lead role, will be available on Hits Now in pan-regional Asia, Star Entertainment in India, and LG U+ in South Korea. Additionally, viewers can look forward to the Sky Original thriller “The Iris Affair,” created by Neil Cross and starring Niamh Algar and Tom Hollander, which will be broadcast on BBC First and Wowow in Japan.

Various Asian platforms, such as Now TV Limited in Hong Kong and LG U+ in South Korea, have acquired multiple Fremantle titles, including psychological thrillers, romantic comedies, and dramas featuring renowned actors like Diane Kruger and Jude Law. These deals were announced at the prestigious Asia TV Forum and Market in Singapore, highlighting the growing demand for compelling storytelling in the region.

Haryaty Rahman, Executive VP of Distribution Asia at Fremantle, expressed enthusiasm over the positive response to their scripted slate in Asia, emphasizing the importance of authentic storytelling. The recent announcement of the final season of “My Brilliant Friend: The Story of the Lost Child” premiering on China’s top platforms further solidifies Fremantle’s presence in the Asian market.
