The highly anticipated Netflix series adaptation of S.A. Cosby’s novel “All the Sinners Bleed” has just announced a star-studded lineup of recurring cast members. According to a report from Variety, the upcoming series has added nearly a dozen talented actors to its roster.
Among the new cast members are some familiar faces such as Giancarlo Esposito, known for his roles in “Breaking Bad” and “Do the Right Thing,” who will portray Ezekiel Wiggins. David Lyons, from “The Beast in Me” and “Truth Be Told,” will take on the role of Jasper Sanderson. Donald Elise Watkins, Mackenzie Astin, Jordan M. Cox, Cullen Moss, Angus O’Brien, Cranston Johnson, Christopher Matthew Cook, Christopher Thornton, and Bill Oberst Jr. round out the impressive ensemble.
These actors will join previously announced series lead Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù and other series regulars including John Douglas Thompson, Nicole Beharie, Daniel Ezra, Andrea Cortés, Murray Bartlett, and Leila George. The series is currently being filmed in Atlanta.
The official synopsis for the show reads, “Haunted by his devout mother’s untimely death, the first Black Sheriff in a small Bible Belt county must lead the hunt for a serial killer that has been preying on his Black community for years in the name of God.”
Joe Robert Cole is responsible for adapting “All the Sinners Bleed” for the screen and will also serve as executive producer and showrunner. He will also direct multiple episodes, including the first. The Obamas’ Higher Ground Productions and Amblin Television are also on board as executive producers, alongside Cosby.
