Support Alzheimer’s Research by Participating in the Picasso Raffle

For just $117, the price of a high-quality toaster oven, you could have the chance to own an original Pablo Picasso painting. The auction series, “1 Picasso for 100 Euros,” is back for its third edition, offering tickets for €100 (~$117) each to win Picasso’s “Tête de Femme (Head of a Woman)” (1941), a gouache on paper valued at €1 million (~$1.17 million). The proceeds from this raffle will support the Fondation Recherche Alzheimer, France’s leading Alzheimer’s research organization.

The Fondation Recherche Alzheimer, established in 2004, funds clinical research across 40 institutions in France and Europe, focusing on identifying risk factors for the disease. The winner of the raffle will be drawn from a pool of up to 120,000 tickets on April 14 at Christie’s in Paris. Previous editions of the raffle have supported various charitable causes, such as the rehabilitation of wells in African countries and the revival of handicraft techniques at UNESCO World Heritage sites.

This year’s artwork, “Tête de Femme (Head of a Woman)” (1941), measures approximately 15 1/3 x 10 inches (38.9 x 25.4 cm) and comes from Opera Gallery. Its attribution is supported by the Picasso Estate and Administration. Dr. Olivier de Ladoucette, President of Fondation Recherche Alzheimer, expressed gratitude for the public’s support in advancing Alzheimer’s research and providing hope to affected families.
