John Cena, the WWE legend, is currently on his farewell tour, with only one last match left on his calendar. After this retirement tour, Cena has decided to hang up his boots for good. The final showdown will see him facing Gunther on December 13 at Saturday Night’s Main Event at the Capital One Center in Washington, D.C. This marks the end of a year-long tour that began with RAW’s Netflix debut on January 6.

Throughout the year, Cena has had remarkable matches against top WWE superstars such as Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, CM Punk, Sami Zayn, R-Truth, Logan Paul, Brock Lesnar, AJ Styles, and Dominik Mysterio. The retirement tour has garnered tributes from various wrestlers who have acknowledged Cena’s immense contributions to the wrestling business.

One of the tributes came from AEW CEO Mercedes Moné, who paid homage to Cena by using his iconic catchphrase, “Your time is up. My time is now!” during an episode of AEW Dynamite while issuing a warning to Toni Storm. Another tribute came from wrestling veteran Adam Copeland, also known as Edge, who incorporated Cena’s signature moves during a tag team match at AEW All Out earlier this year.

The latest tribute came from AEW World Champion Samoa Joe, who applied Cena’s classic STF lock during a match on AEW Dynamite, even saluting as a nod to the Cenation Leader. Cena acknowledged the gesture by posting a picture of Joe on his Instagram account.

As Cena prepares for his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, it will undoubtedly be an emotional moment for both wrestlers and fans alike. The legacy of John Cena in the wrestling world is undeniable, and his impact on the business and fellow superstars will be remembered for years to come.
