Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt Welcome Baby Girl Scottie
After the arrival of their newborn daughter, Scottie, Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt are basking in baby bliss. The couple, who welcomed their baby girl in New York, are excited about starting their family in upstate New York for more privacy and a suburban feel.
A close source revealed exclusively to Us Weekly, “It’s been a whirlwind week, but they are obsessed with their baby girl and over the moon. They want to raise her in upstate New York, where they have more privacy, normalcy, and it feels more suburban.”
Despite the adjustment to life as a family of three, Davidson and Hewitt make a great team. The insider added, “They have had their hands full and are still figuring out the parenting thing day by day. Pete is ecstatic to officially be a dad and has had a smile on his face since she was born.”
Elsie Hewitt is embracing motherhood wholeheartedly and feels like she was made for this role. The source mentioned, “Elsie has been having such a great week with baby Scottie. She’s feeling amazing and is completely in her element, already embracing motherhood in a way that feels natural to her.”
Davidson has been a supportive partner, especially when Hewitt had to undergo wisdom teeth removal shortly after giving birth. The insider shared, “He has been so supportive, being there for every moment and making sure she has everything she needs. It was a rough day when Elsie had to have her wisdom teeth removed, but Pete really stepped up in helping any way he could.”
Announcing the birth of their daughter on Instagram, Hewitt shared, “Our perfect angel girl arrived: Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson. My best work yet, I am absolutely overflowing with love and gratitude and disbelief.” Davidson added his own message, “Wu tang forever.”
Scottie was named after Pete Davidson’s late father, Scott Davidson, who was a firefighter and lost his life during the September 11, 2001, attacks. Pete has expressed that losing his father was a driving force in wanting to have a family of his own one day.
Reflecting on his desire for fatherhood, Pete shared on Kevin Hart’s show, “Since my dad died, I was like, ‘Oh, I can’t wait to have a kid.’ And like, I don’t like saying corny s*** — the reasoning was like, ‘I don’t want a kid to ever feel like how I feel right now.’ I’m very excited to do that for someone and watch them have what I didn’t.”
