Details about the upcoming Samsung event remain limited, but it has been confirmed that a new Galaxy S26 model will be unveiled on 27 August. The event will be streamed live on Samsung’s official YouTube channel starting at 9pm KST (which corresponds to 1pm UK time and 8am ET).
It is reasonable to assume that this event will introduce the Galaxy S26 FE, arriving slightly earlier than its traditional September release. Expectations were leaning towards a launch around 4 September, aligning with the Galaxy S25 FE’s debut, which coincided with the IFA 2026 event in Berlin, a venue where Samsung consistently showcases its latest innovations.
According to Samsung, the phone is “purposefully designed to bring the core Galaxy S26 experiences from camera to AI, along with the latest One UI, to those who look for what truly matters most to them.”
This is all that Samsung has officially disclosed about the unexpected August event, but they have also included a brief video teaser.
The teaser features three cups of matcha tea with Galaxy AI star-shaped ice cubes, arranged in a manner resembling Samsung’s iconic camera module. This suggests that the Galaxy S26 FE might once again feature a trio of rear cameras.
The video concludes with a hand picking up the middle cup, revealing the message ‘Welcome to Galaxy S’ along with the event date.
