Hyun Bin and Jung Woo-sung Face Off in New Crime Noir Series “Made in Korea” on Disney+
Anticipation is high for the upcoming release of “Made in Korea,” a 1970s crime noir series set to premiere on Disney+ on December 24th. The show kicks off with a gripping two-episode premiere, pitting Hyun Bin against Jung Woo-sung in a thrilling battle of wits and power.
Leading the cast is Hyun Bin, known for his roles in popular dramas like “Crash Landing on You” and “Confidential Assignment.” He plays Baek Kitae, a complex character who navigates the dangerous world of espionage and crime in 1970s South Korea. By day, Kitae is a dedicated KCIA agent, but by night, he delves into the underworld to protect his brother and advance his own agenda.
Jung Woo-sung stars as Jang Geonyoung, a relentless prosecutor determined to take down Kitae and his illegal activities. Woo Dohwan joins the cast as Kitae’s brother, Baek Kihyun, adding another layer of tension to the already volatile storyline.
Written by Park Eunkyo and Park Joonseok, and directed by Woo Minho, “Made in Korea” promises to deliver intense action, suspense, and drama. The series is produced by Hive Media Corp, known for their work on acclaimed projects like “Inside Men” and “The Man Standing Next.”
After the initial two-episode premiere, viewers can expect two more episodes to drop on December 31st, with the final installments airing weekly until January 14th. Fans will be delighted to know that a second season is already in the works, ensuring even more thrilling content to come.
“Made in Korea” is part of Disney+’s growing collection of Korean drama series, which debuted in 2025 with hits like “Unmasked” and “Nine Puzzles.” The platform has more Korean content lined up for 2026, including “Gold Land” with Park Boyoung, “Perfect Crown” featuring IU and Byeon Wooseok, and the return of “A Shop for Killers” for its second season.
