Kylie Jenner has revealed her approach to dealing with skin breakouts.
“My morning skincare routine has been consistent for some time. I began experiencing severe breakouts at age 27. I feel like I’ve managed to get my skin under control, and my routine hasn’t changed much over the past few years,” Jenner, 29, explained in a YouTube video shared on Sunday, August 23. “I start my day with a gentle cleanser.”
The Kardashians star mentioned using a variety of gentle cleansers but ultimately opted for the Sofie Pavitt Facial Cleanser in her video, followed by a serum application.
“This is the last year of my 20s, so I’m focusing on simple, effective skincare,” she added before applying an oil-free moisturizer. “This one doesn’t cause breakouts for me, and I break out easily from moisturizers. It’s very light and looks nice under makeup.”
Jenner also highlighted her use of Kylie Cosmetics Supple Glaze Primer, mentioning her “makeup tip of 2026” obsession with primer. She emphasized the importance of sunscreen and how she has modified her spray tan routine to prevent breakouts.
“Since turning 29, I haven’t missed a day of sunscreen,” she noted. “I always extend it down my neck to blend. I get a lot of spray tans, so I use a slightly darker shade. After experiencing severe acne, I stopped spraying my face because it seemed to clog my pores.”
When applying makeup, Jenner shared that she often opts for the same look now because she knows what suits her face and makes her feel best. One aspect she has embraced again is applying mascara to her bottom lashes, a practice she had previously set aside due to her sister Kendall Jenner‘s influence.
“I’m really into bottom mascara now. Kendall convinced me otherwise for a few years, saying she never wore it, and I ended up loving the look without it,” Kylie recalled. “Now, I’m obsessed again. It gives you those doll eyes, which I think is really sexy.”
Before ending the video, Kylie expressed her excitement about continuing to share her life on YouTube.
“That’s my everyday routine,” she said. “I’m thrilled to be back on YouTube. I’m having the best time. Me and my cats love you.”
