ServiceNow Acquires Cybersecurity Startup Armis for $7.75 Billion

ServiceNow, a leading enterprise software company, has announced its acquisition of Armis, a nine-year-old cybersecurity startup, for a whopping $7.75 billion in cash. This deal marks a significant increase in valuation for Armis, which just recently secured a $435 million pre-IPO funding round valuing the company at $6.1 billion.

Armis co-founder and CEO, Yevgeny Dibrov, had expressed his desire for the company to go public in late 2026 or 2027. However, given the challenges and uncertainties surrounding IPOs, the decision to opt for an acquisition by ServiceNow seems like a strategic move.

ServiceNow has revealed that Armis boasts an impressive $340 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) with a remarkable year-over-year growth rate of over 50%. The acquisition of Armis will enable ServiceNow to enhance its cybersecurity offerings, especially in providing security solutions for critical infrastructure to Fortune 500 companies and governments.

This acquisition is part of a series of strategic moves by ServiceNow, including the recent acquisitions of Moveworks for $2.85 billion and the agreement to acquire Veza for $1 billion. According to PitchBook, Armis has raised a total of $1.45 billion in venture capital from top investors like Sequoia, CapitalG, and Insight Partners.
