John Ramsey, the father of JonBenét Ramsey, has come forward to defend his late wife, Patsy, against the accusations and blame she faced in connection with their daughter’s murder. In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, John expressed his determination to right the wrongs that were done to Patsy during her lifetime.
According to John, Patsy was unfairly labeled as an “evil mother” by the public, especially in the aftermath of JonBenét’s tragic death. He described Patsy as a wonderful person and a loving mother, emphasizing that she never spoke ill of others except for Geraldo Rivera. John recalled how Patsy was deeply hurt by Rivera’s staged mock trial of their family, where they were falsely convicted. He condemned Rivera’s actions as “grossly unfair” and defended Patsy’s character as a devoted mother to both their children and his stepchildren.
Despite the initial suspicions surrounding John and Patsy as suspects in JonBenét’s murder, they were never formally charged with any crime. In 2008, the Boulder District Attorney exonerated them based on new DNA evidence and issued an apology to the family. John revealed that the police had unfairly targeted them from the beginning, attributing their suspicions to perceived behavior that did not align with their expectations.
Reflecting on his faith, John shared his belief that Patsy and JonBenét are now reunited in the afterlife, which brings him some peace amidst the tragedy. He acknowledged the mystery of life beyond what the human mind can comprehend but expressed his conviction in the existence of a spiritual realm that transcends our understanding.
Patsy passed away in 2006 after battling ovarian cancer, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience despite the challenges she faced. John’s unwavering devotion to defending her honor and memory serves as a testament to the enduring bond they shared as partners in life and parents to JonBenét. As he continues to seek justice for Patsy and their family, John remains steadfast in his belief that truth and righteousness will prevail in the face of adversity.
