Operations at Buckley Space Force Base in Aurora were briefly interrupted on Monday due to a report of suspected explosives, although authorities later confirmed that there was no actual threat to the base.
Emergency personnel swiftly responded to the base in the afternoon, temporarily closing an inspection point and causing delays at various gates.
As a precautionary measure, installation officials established a 1,000-foot safety perimeter around the affected area and advised individuals to steer clear of the vicinity.
Following thorough inspections, all gates have now resumed normal operations, as confirmed by officials in a recent news release.
