A group of masked criminals was captured on video carrying out a daring robbery at a jewelry store in a San Francisco Bay Area outlet mall, shocking weekend shoppers. The incident took place at the Kay Jewelers outlet in Livermore around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The surveillance footage shows the gang of thieves ransacking the store, grabbing items and stuffing them into black trash bags. The perpetrators, wearing face masks and hoodies, made a quick getaway from the scene, running past bystanders who were left stunned by the brazen robbery. In one heart-stopping moment, a bystander was seen picking up a toddler as the thieves rushed past.
The exact value of the stolen goods is unknown at this time. The criminals managed to escape the shopping complex in a black Honda Civic before law enforcement could arrive at the scene. A police officer later spotted the same vehicle on I-580 and attempted to pursue it, but the suspects evaded capture.
