Mel Gibson’s Relationship History: From Marriage to Divorce
Mel Gibson, the renowned actor and filmmaker, has had his fair share of ups and downs in the realm of relationships. His marriage to Robyn Moore lasted an impressive 27 years, from 1980 through 2007. Despite their long union, their divorce wasn’t finalized until 2011, marking the end of an era for the former couple. Together, they brought seven children into the world – Hannah, Christian, Edward, William, Louis, Milo, and Thomas, who have undoubtedly been a significant part of Gibson’s life.
Following his split from Moore, Gibson found love again with Oksana Grigorieva, a Russian musician and model, who is 10 years his junior. Their relationship began shortly after his separation from Moore in 2007, and in October 2009, Grigorieva gave birth to their daughter, Lucia, who is now 16 years old.
Unfortunately, Gibson’s relationship with Grigorieva took a tumultuous turn in 2010, leading to a messy split between the two. The actor faced serious allegations of domestic violence, which resulted in a domestic violence complaint and a subsequent plea of no contest to one misdemeanor count of domestic violence. In the aftermath of these events, Gibson was sentenced to three years of probation, community service, and counseling, marking a dark chapter in his personal life.
