Grace Hutson, a patron at Planet Fitness, shared the ordeal she encountered while using the female restroom at the gym. She posted the footage on TikTok, showing the shadow of a person engaging in the sexual act. Hutson expressed her discomfort with the situation, emphasizing that regardless of gender identity, such behavior is inappropriate in a women’s restroom.
Although Hutson alerted the front desk staff at the gym, she felt that they did not know how to handle the situation effectively. Eventually, her boyfriend intervened to confront the individual in question. Reflecting on the incident, Hutson expressed regret for not taking further action at the time, such as contacting law enforcement.
The video resurfaced months after singer Tish Hyman was kicked out of a Gold’s Gym in Los Angeles for confronting a transgender individual who allegedly exposed male genitals in the women’s locker room. Hyman, known for advocating for the protection of women’s spaces, emphasized the importance of truth, safety, and boundaries for women and girls.
In a social media post, Hyman reiterated her stance on the matter, stating that care, love, and standing up for reality are essential. She referenced a previous incident where she had confronted a transgender individual in the locker room, accusing him of exposing himself and harassing her.
The transgender individual, Alexis Black, had a history of violence as a man and pleaded guilty to assaulting his wife, leaving her with severe injuries. Hyman’s encounter with Black highlighted the ongoing debate surrounding transgender individuals accessing gender-specific facilities and the need for clear boundaries and safety measures.
