Leonardo DiCaprio Speaks Out Against Trump’s Energy Agenda

Leonardo DiCaprio’s recent anger towards President Trump stems from his strong environmental activism, which has been a defining aspect of his public persona. The actor despises Trump for his focus on expanding fossil fuel industries and his support of the “drill baby drill” approach.

During a disruption at a film festival, DiCaprio’s opposition to Trump’s energy agenda was further fueled. He believes that the president’s prioritization of fossil fuels disregards climate science, leads to regional instability, and ultimately harms ordinary citizens who bear the brunt of profit-driven decisions.

For over two decades, DiCaprio has intertwined his film career with environmental activism. In 1998, he founded the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, which supports conservation efforts, climate research, and the protection of Indigenous lands.

The actor has also been involved in producing and narrating documentaries like Before the Flood and Ice on Fire, which highlight the dangers of climate change and the need to reduce reliance on fossil fuels. DiCaprio has spoken at the United Nations, engaged with world leaders, and used his platform to advocate for climate action.
