Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) expressed his strong desire for President Donald Trump to take decisive action in Iran amidst ongoing protests against the government that have resulted in numerous deaths.
During an appearance on Maria Bartiromo’s Fox News show “Sunday Morning Futures,” Graham urged Trump to consider removing the leadership responsible for the violence against protesters. “If I were you, Mr. President, I would eliminate those in power who are causing harm to the people,” Graham stated.
Graham, a staunch supporter of Trump and a vocal advocate for military intervention in Iran, emphasized the need to address what he referred to as Iran’s support for terrorism in the region.
He specifically called for the removal of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, drawing parallels to the recent ousting of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro through a U.S.-led operation. Graham labeled Khamenei as a “modern-day Hitler” and a “religious Nazi.”
Trump, who has taken a tougher stance against Iran in recent days, has warned of potential consequences if the Iranian government continues to crackdown on protesters.
Graham praised Trump as the “Ronald Reagan-plus of our time,” highlighting his leadership in addressing global challenges.
