He Took Lie Detector Test … and Passed
Published
Timothy Busfield is standing by his innocence in the face of allegations of sexual abuse involving child actors, as his lawyer reveals that Busfield underwent a polygraph test and passed with flying colors.
The actor/director’s attorney, Larry Stein, has affirmed Busfield’s denial of the allegations, stating, “Tim Busfield denies the allegations in the criminal complaint and maintains they are completely false. As a voluntary step, he submitted to an independent polygraph examination regarding those allegations and passed.”
Busfield faces accusations of sexually abusing two child actors while directing “The Cleaning Lady” in 2022 in New Mexico. The alleged victims, aged 7 and 8 at the time, had their parents report the incidents to authorities two years later, sparking a criminal investigation.
Attorney Christina McGovern conducted a thorough investigation into the allegations and found no corroborating evidence of inappropriate conduct by Busfield. Warner Bros. granted her full discretion in the investigation, which included multiple witness statements.
Busfield maintains his innocence, stating unequivocally that he did not engage in any inappropriate behavior with the children and that their accusations are false.
Busfield is scheduled to appear in court in New Mexico today at 12:30 PM PT for his first hearing in this case.
