In a world where streaming platforms and subscription prices are constantly on the rise, TCL is offering a haven for viewers in the United Kingdom who want to watch popular films, series, and reality shows for free. Previously only available on Sky TV, Virgin Media TV, and Discovery+, TLC, a channel from the Warner Bros. Discovery family, became a free-to-air (FTA) entertainment channel on 13 January 2026, accessible via Freesat and Freeview.

Freesat viewers can tune in to TLC on channel 144, with TLC+1 available on channel 150. Freeview users can find TLC on channel 12, and TLC+1 on channel 99.

This move is part of Warner Bros.’ broader strategy to expand its linear television offering. The channel aims to provide viewers with “big laughs, real emotions, and true escapism” through its entertainment-focused programming.

What to Watch on TLC

While TLC has traditionally focused on reality shows like 90 Day Fiancé and Dr. Pimple Popper, Warner Bros. has diversified the channel’s content to include beloved sitcoms and blockbuster films. Viewers can now enjoy shows like Mike and Molly, The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, and the UK premiere of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, a sitcom exploring the tumultuous relationship of Sheldon’s older brother.

Additionally, TLC’s schedule now includes films such as Transformers, The Truman Show, Blades of Glory, and Zoolander, offering a mix of comedy, drama, and action for audiences to enjoy.

Reality TV enthusiasts need not fret, as TLC will continue to air popular shows like Dr. Pimple Popper, The Bad Skin Clinic, My 600lb Life, and 90 Day Fiancé alongside its new programming.

The Return of Mock the Week

One of the most exciting additions to TLC’s lineup is the revival of Mock the Week, a satirical celebrity panel show that was discontinued by the BBC in 2022. The show will return on Sunday, 1 February 2026, with Dara Ó Briain reprising his role as host.

The new series will feature a star-studded lineup of comedians including Rhys James, Sara Pascoe, Angela Barnes, Ed Byrne, Ahir Shah, Milton Jones, Katherine Ryan, Hugh Dennis, Sarah Keyworth, Lou Sanders, Glenn Moore, Ellie Taylor, and Russell Howard. Fan-favorite segments like “If this is the answer, what is the question?” and “Scenes we’d like to see” will make a comeback.

In addition to Mock the Week, viewers can look forward to a new travel show called Zero Stars, where Roisin Conaty and Sara Pascoe explore destinations with the worst or strangest reviews.
