Pervert Kidnaps 11-Year-Old Queens Girl, Found Undressed in Long Island Home
An alarming incident unfolded when a 28-year-old man, Nicholas Wieber, allegedly kidnapped an 11-year-old girl from Queens and took her to his home in Long Island. The predator initiated contact with the young girl through Discord, a popular online messaging platform, in early December. On December 12, Wieber reportedly picked her up from her school, leaving her mother waiting at the bus stop, unaware of the unfolding danger.
Concern grew when the girl’s mother realized her daughter never got off the school bus. Frantic searches led to the discovery that the girl was seen getting into a car with an older man outside the school. The mother promptly reported her daughter missing to the NYPD.
With swift action, the NYPD located the girl at Wieber’s residence in Bay Shore, with Suffolk County police aiding in the rescue. Just one day after her disappearance, authorities found the girl undressed on Wieber’s bed.
Speaking on the case, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney commended law enforcement for their diligent efforts in swiftly locating the kidnapped child. Tierney praised their vigilance, skill, and determination in ensuring the safe return of the girl to her parents.
Wieber faced an arraignment on January 9, where he was indicted on charges including kidnapping and endangering the welfare of a child. Supreme Court Justice Richard Ambro set bail at $250,000 cash, a $500,000 bond, or a $2.5 million partially secured bond as the legal proceedings progress.
If convicted on the top charge, Wieber could potentially face life imprisonment. His next court appearance is scheduled for February 17, with his lawyer, Larry Flowers, choosing not to provide a statement at this time.
