Lots of folks apparently didn’t listen when Mickey Rourke disavowed a GoFundMe for him… Still, more than $100,000 was raised, and now the actor is actively working to refund the donations.
Mickey took to Instagram on Thursday to address the crowdfunding “scam” and assured his followers that his attorney is working to ensure everyone gets refunded.

Mickey confirms that there is $90,000 that still needs to be refunded to the donors.
Initially, a fundraising page was created in Mickey’s name with a goal of $100,000 to prevent his eviction from his Los Angeles home. Despite surpassing the goal, Mickey expressed his frustration and embarrassment as he was unaware of the GoFundMe campaign.
Fortunately, Mickey has found a new apartment in Los Angeles, received job offers in Hollywood, and received support from celebrity friends, indicating that the crisis has been averted.
