Paramount+ officially confirmed the renewal of “Landman” for its third season on December 5, 2025, shortly after the second season began airing. The show, created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, delves into the high-stakes world of oil rigs and the wealthy individuals who control them.
The ensemble cast of “Landman” is led by Oscar winner Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris, a crisis executive and troubleshooter for the oil industry. Alongside Thornton, the series features Demi Moore as Cami Miller, Ali Larter as Tommy’s ex-wife Angela, Jacob Lofland as his son Cooper, and the legendary Sam Elliott as Tommy’s father, who joined the cast in the second season.
Following the conclusion of the second season on January 18, 2026, fans can anticipate the third season to maintain the show’s annual release schedule, with a likely premiere date set for late 2026.
As for the upcoming season, most of the core cast members are confirmed to reprise their roles. Billy Bob Thornton will continue to lead the series as Tommy Norris, with reports indicating that he has signed a multi-year deal. Ali Larter will return as Angela Norris, alongside Demi Moore as Cami Miller. The younger generation of the Norris family, including Jacob Lofland as Cooper and Michelle Randolph as Ainsley, will also play integral roles in the upcoming season.
Moreover, viewers can expect the return of Sam Elliott as T.L. and Andy Garcia as the powerful businessman Gallino. The supporting crew members, portrayed by James Jordan, Kayla Wallace, and Mustafa Speaks, will also make a comeback in season 3.
Production for the new season is slated to commence in April or May 2026. Following the second season’s cliffhanger ending, the storyline is expected to focus on Tommy establishing his independent oil company, CTT Oil Exploration and Cattle, after being ousted by Cami. This sets the stage for a fierce corporate rivalry as Tommy recruits his former team to build a new empire from scratch.
While specific plot details for the third season remain under wraps, Billy Bob Thornton hinted at the unpredictability of creator Taylor Sheridan’s storytelling in a Men’s Journal interview. Fans can catch up on both seasons of “Landman” exclusively on Paramount+ before the third season debuts. Individual episodes and full seasons are also available for purchase on digital platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home.
