In a recent interview, Donald Trump stated that he has given strict orders for Iran to be destroyed if anything were to happen to him at the hands of the regime. This comes as Iran has issued personal death threats against the president amidst ongoing protests against Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Trump emphasized, “Well, they shouldn’t be doing it, but I’ve made it clear that if anything were to happen, the whole country will face consequences.” This threat follows previous incidents where Iran reportedly targeted Trump and his 2020 order to assassinate Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani.
Furthermore, Trump criticized his predecessor, Joe Biden, for not responding forcefully to earlier threats from Iran, despite being briefed on the issue. Trump asserted, “A president must defend a president, and I have given very strict instructions that any harm to me will result in severe repercussions.”
