Berluti Showcases New Collection at Paris Fashion Week
The recent preview at Berluti’s store on Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré during Paris fashion week offered a glimpse into the brand’s latest collection. While not a complete departure from their signature style, there were plenty of new and exciting elements to be seen.
New Footwear Designs
One of the standout features of the collection was the bold new range of boots. The Rombo, a sturdy biker-style boot that reaches mid-calf, added a touch of edginess to the lineup. Additionally, the Alessio shoe was reimagined into a Chelsea-style ankle boot, providing a fresh take on a classic silhouette. These new footwear options reflected a toughness that resonated with the current military-inspired trends in menswear.
Distinctive Patina Leather Pieces
Berluti’s use of jewel tones such as greens, reds, and blues in their patina leather pieces set them apart from other brands. The collection introduced a fiamma (flame) patina on a mandarin collar jacket, as well as touches of dusty pink cashmere. A standout piece was the deep brown flight jacket, which despite its weightlessness, exuded luxury and comfort. The plush shearling blouson in a rich rust shade was both cozy and flattering.
Ready-to-Wear Innovations
The Forestière work jacket, reintroduced by the brand a few seasons ago, now comes in a full suit option. The ridged suede version in soft blue was deemed a red carpet favorite, perfect for celebrity styling. Trousers in cream corduroy and slate wools showcased a departure from slim silhouettes, embracing a wider fit. This subtle shift demonstrates Berluti’s adaptability to evolving menswear trends, a testament to their longevity in the industry.
