Police Seek Suspect Who Slapped Stranger and Ordered Dog to Attack in Manhattan Subway Station
Authorities are on the lookout for an aggressive suspect who physically assaulted a man and directed his dog to bite him inside a subway station in Union Square, Manhattan.
The incident occurred around 5:20 p.m. on Saturday, involving a 54-year-old man who got into a verbal altercation with an unidentified individual over the latter’s dog, as per the NYPD.
According to reports, the suspect slapped the victim, removed the dog’s muzzle, and commanded the animal to attack the man.
The victim suffered multiple lacerations on his left hand as a result of the dog bites.
Subsequently, the suspect fled the scene with the dog, and his whereabouts are currently unknown.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded promptly and transported the victim to NYU Langone Tisch Hospital, where he is in stable condition.
Authorities have shared images of the suspect, depicting him walking the dog in the subway station while dressed in a distinctive outfit.
