Pro snowboarder Shaun White recently made headlines for his daring stunt that saw him fly over comedian Shane Gillis in New York City’s Central Park. In a video shared on social media, White, a three-time Olympic gold medallist, was seen snowboarding along the snow-covered grounds before launching into the air and soaring over a seated Gillis. The wild Instagram video captured the moment, with White successfully completing the stunt and then shaking hands with Gillis, who held a can of beer in his hand.

Crowds gathered to witness the spectacle, cheering White on as he performed a somersault in the air. Gillis later shared a photo from the day on his Instagram grid, showing White flying over him and his Tires co-star, Chris O’Connor, as they sat huddled and smiling. White and O’Connor also shared a joint Instagram video capturing the second sensational moment.

As the countdown to the 2026 Winter Olympics continues, White, who retired from professional snowboarding in 2022, is set to serve as a broadcaster for NBC Sports during the global sporting event. This year’s Winter Olympics will take place in Milan, Italy, starting on Friday, February 6 and running until Sunday, February 22.

In addition to his sporting achievements, White has also been in the spotlight for his personal life. In September 2025, White and his then-fiancée Nina Dobrev called off their engagement after five years together. Sources close to the couple revealed that they had simply grown apart and realized they would be better off as friends rather than husband and wife.

While White has not publicly confirmed any new relationships since his split from Dobrev, rumors circulated about Dobrev possibly dating actor Zac Efron after the pair vacationed together. However, sources close to the pair clarified that they are just good friends who have supported each other through various phases of life.

Despite the end of his engagement, White continues to focus on his career and upcoming broadcasting role for the Winter Olympics. Fans can expect to see more of the talented snowboarder as he takes on new challenges both on and off the slopes. The concept of artificial intelligence (AI) has been around for decades, but it is only in recent years that it has gained mainstream attention. From self-driving cars to virtual assistants, AI is increasingly becoming integrated into our daily lives. But what exactly is AI, and how does it work?

At its core, AI is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. This includes learning, reasoning, problem-solving, perception, and language understanding. AI systems are designed to mimic human cognitive functions, such as learning from experience and adapting to new situations.

One of the key components of AI is machine learning, which is a subset of AI that enables machines to learn from data without being explicitly programmed. Machine learning algorithms allow computers to identify patterns in data and make predictions based on that data. This is how AI systems can recognize speech, translate languages, and even beat humans at complex games like chess and Go.

Another important aspect of AI is neural networks, which are computational models inspired by the structure of the human brain. Neural networks consist of interconnected nodes that process information in a way similar to how neurons in the brain communicate with each other. This allows AI systems to recognize patterns and learn from data in a way that is similar to human learning.

AI is also powered by deep learning, which is a type of machine learning that uses neural networks with many layers to process complex data. Deep learning has been instrumental in advancing AI technology in recent years, leading to breakthroughs in areas such as image recognition, natural language processing, and autonomous driving.

AI systems can be categorized into two types: narrow AI and general AI. Narrow AI, also known as weak AI, is designed to perform specific tasks, such as facial recognition or language translation. General AI, on the other hand, is a theoretical form of AI that can perform any intellectual task that a human can do. While general AI is still a long way off, narrow AI is already being used in a wide range of applications, from virtual assistants like Siri and Alexa to self-driving cars and medical diagnosis.

Despite the many advantages of AI, there are also concerns about its potential risks. One of the biggest challenges is ensuring that AI systems are ethical and unbiased. AI algorithms can sometimes perpetuate existing biases in data, leading to discriminatory outcomes. There is also the fear that AI could lead to widespread job displacement, as machines become increasingly capable of performing tasks that were once done by humans.

Overall, AI has the potential to revolutionize industries and improve our quality of life in countless ways. By understanding how AI works and the challenges it poses, we can ensure that this powerful technology is used in a responsible and beneficial manner.
