CBS is gearing up for the milestone 50th season of the hit reality show “Survivor” by airing a special “Road to 50” programming event. Over the two weeks leading up to the premiere of “Survivor: In the Hands of the Fans,” the network will air 10 episodes of past seasons to get fans excited for the big premiere.
The programming event will kick off on Monday, Feb. 9, with episodes airing five nights a week for two weeks in a row. The 50th season premiere is scheduled for Wednesday, February 25, and will feature the largest cast ever with 24 past players returning to compete. The timing of the schedule aligns perfectly with the Winter Olympic Games on NBC, providing viewers with exciting counterprogramming options.
In addition to the special programming, CBS also unveiled an extended Season 50 trailer on Tuesday, set to Billie Joe Armstrong’s rendition of “Heroes.” Fans can also catch up on all 49 seasons of “Survivor” in chronological order on Pluto TV, allowing them to revisit favorite moments and players ahead of the highly anticipated 50th season.
The episodes scheduled to air leading up to the premiere will feature some iconic moments and players from past seasons. From fan-favorites like Cirie Fields and Ozzy Lusth to strategic masterminds like Chrissy Hofbeck and Rick Devens, each episode will showcase the best of what “Survivor” has to offer.
The full list of episodes includes a mix of classic seasons like “Micronesia,” “Heroes vs. Villains,” and “David vs. Goliath,” as well as more recent seasons like “Edge of Extinction” and “Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.” Each episode will highlight different cast members and memorable moments from their respective seasons, building excitement for the epic showdown in Season 50.
