The shocking case of the wealthy tech tycoon who allegedly pushed his wife off a SoCal mountain has taken a new turn, revealing a disturbing motive behind the murder. According to court documents, Aryan Papoli had withdrawn millions of dollars from the couple’s joint bank account and was planning to divide their properties between their two sons before she was killed by her husband, Gordon Abas Goodarzi.

The couple, who had been married for 28 years, was in the midst of a bitter divorce initiated by Papoli, who was determined to ensure that her sons would receive their inheritance. It is believed that Goodarzi killed his wife to prevent her from siphoning off the money and assets that rightfully belonged to their children.

The couple had amassed a significant amount of wealth, including several properties worth millions of dollars, which were at the center of their divorce proceedings. Papoli was seeking spousal support from Goodarzi, who had recently sold his tech company for $50 million. The couple also had a vacant plot in SoCal and a property in Crestline, where Papoli’s body was found.

The motive for the murder, according to prosecutors, was financial gain. Goodarzi stood to benefit from his wife’s death by claiming a right to the money she had withdrawn from their bank account. The divorce was abruptly called off after Papoli’s death, leaving many unanswered questions about what led to the tragic event.

Goodarzi, who remains in custody, made a brief appearance in court on Tuesday, with his arraignment postponed until Thursday. The case has shocked the community and shed light on the dark side of a seemingly perfect marriage that ended in tragedy. The investigation is ongoing, and more details are expected to emerge as the case unfolds.
