Bobby Lashley, a top star in AEW, has been absent from the ring for some time due to an injury. However, he recently hinted at his imminent return to the Jacksonville-based promotion, much to the excitement of fans.
Lashley, a two-time WWE Champion, has been a formidable force alongside MVP and Shelton Benjamin in The Hurt Syndicate faction since their debut in 2024. While MVP and Benjamin have continued to make appearances on television, Lashley has been sidelined since reportedly sustaining an injury at the Full Gear pay-per-view in November 2025. Initially, it was speculated that his recovery would be lengthy, but recent reports suggest that he may be back sooner than expected.
Confirming these rumors, Lashley took to Instagram to share a video of himself engaging in intense back exercises at the gym. His caption, "Loading………#TheHurtSyndicate #Ready #AEW," fueled speculation about his impending return to the ring.
Despite his success as a singles competitor in WWE, Lashley has primarily been featured as a tag team wrestler in AEW. This has led veteran wrestler Konnan to express his belief that Lashley may not be satisfied with his current booking in Tony Khan’s company.
Konnan stated, "He is probably p***ed I would think that they have him in this thing with Shelton [Benjamin] even though Shelton and MVP are his boys, they are not really top guys you know what I’m saying? So, I think he knows he’s not being used right." With Lashley potentially making his comeback to AEW, fans are eager to see if he will finally receive the singles push that many believe he deserves.
As fans eagerly anticipate Lashley’s return, it remains to be seen how his role in AEW will evolve and whether he will indeed be given the opportunity to showcase his talents as a top singles performer once again.
