British brand Nothing has announced its plans for the upcoming year, revealing that there will be no new flagship phone launched in 2026. CEO Carl Pei discussed the company’s achievements in 2025, including reaching $1 billion in lifetime sales and raising $200 million. Looking ahead to “phase two”, Nothing is planning to establish a new London headquarters and open physical stores.

Pei emphasized a shift in focus towards headphones following the success of the Nothing Headphone (1). Surprisingly, he confirmed that the Nothing Phone (3) will remain the brand’s flagship device for the year, emphasizing quality over quantity in their release strategy. Pei stated that the company is not aiming to release a flagship phone every year just for the sake of it but rather wants each upgrade to be significant.

While there won’t be a Nothing Phone (4) in 2026, the company is gearing up to launch the Nothing Phone (4a), promising an experience closer to a flagship level in terms of materials, design, screen, camera, and performance. Pei hinted at bold experimentation in color choices and overall design for the Nothing Phone (4a), sparking curiosity among tech enthusiasts.

In a recent leak, details of the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro surfaced through the EU’s energy labelling website. The upgraded model is expected to feature a larger 5,080mAh-rated battery, offering an estimated capacity of 5,100 to 5,200mAh. The device is rated for 63 hours of usage on a single charge, a significant improvement from its predecessor. Additionally, the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro boasts an improved IP65 water resistance rating, enhancing its durability.

Nothing’s decision to focus on enhancing existing products and introducing innovative features in their upcoming releases showcases a commitment to delivering high-quality technology to consumers. With the anticipation building for the launch of the Nothing Phone (4a) and its Pro variant, tech enthusiasts are eager to see how the brand’s vision translates into cutting-edge devices.
