Donald Trump Considers Legal Action Over Epstein Files Release
Donald Trump, 79, made a statement aboard Air Force One on Saturday regarding the release of files related to Jeffrey Epstein, stating that he was told by important sources that the files absolve him of any wrongdoing. He also mentioned that the release of the files was contrary to the hopes of the radical left.
Trump expressed his intention to take legal action against author Michael Wolff and the Epstein estate, citing emails that suggested Wolff was collaborating with Epstein to damage Trump’s reputation. He referred to Wolff as a “third-rate writer” who was allegedly conspiring against him.
Regarding the Justice Department’s stance on the Epstein files, Trump’s former lawyer Todd Blanche, who is now the deputy attorney general, stated that the department did not find grounds for further prosecutions based on the released material. Blanche emphasized that over three and a half million documents were made public for scrutiny, including disturbing photographs, but they did not meet the threshold for criminal charges.
