The investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie has taken a new turn as investigators have removed a floodlight from her home in Tucson, Arizona. The removal of the floodlight comes as authorities continue to search for clues surrounding Guthrie’s whereabouts.
Fox News captured footage of the white floodlight on the right side of Guthrie’s blue door, only for it to be missing in subsequent footage. The reason behind the removal of the floodlight remains unclear, but it may be related to a ransom note that mentioned a “destroyed” floodlight.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and active, with multiple pieces of evidence being reviewed. They have not disclosed any further details about the analysis being conducted.
In addition to the floodlight, Fox News reported the presence of two other possible floodlights in Guthrie’s backyard, with one of them being broken. Law enforcement officials were seen removing a wired device from the roof of Guthrie’s residence and towing away a Subaru SUV.
Furthermore, police visited a Circle K store in Tucson after receiving a tip about a vehicle of interest. The store provided investigators with access to surveillance footage. The FBI is also joining the search effort by putting up billboards with Guthrie’s face in cities between Texas, New Mexico, and California.
President Donald Trump hinted at significant developments in the case, suggesting that the identity of the person responsible for Guthrie’s disappearance could be revealed soon. However, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office has stated that they have not identified any suspects, persons of interest, or vehicles connected to the case.
Nancy Guthrie, the mother of NBC News anchor Savannah Guthrie, was reported missing after she failed to attend church. Her daughter Annie and her husband Tommaso Cioni were the last known individuals to see her before her disappearance.
The investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance continues, with law enforcement agencies and the community working tirelessly to bring her home safely.
