Savannah Guthrie has made a heartfelt plea to the public in a new video following her mother Nancy’s abduction eight days ago. The TODAY co-host expressed her family’s desperation and gratitude for the outpouring of prayers and support they have received during this difficult time.
In the emotional video posted on Monday, February 9, Savannah shared, “Thank you so much for all of the prayers and the love that we have felt. And that our mom has felt. Because somehow, some way, she’s feeling these prayers and God is lifting her even in this moment, in this darkest place.”
Savannah urged viewers to help in any way they can, even if they are far from Tucson, Arizona, where Nancy was abducted. “We believe our mom is out there. We need your help,” she pleaded, emphasizing the urgency of the situation. “Law enforcement is working tirelessly around the clock to bring her home, trying to find her. She was taken and we don’t know where and we need your help.”
The Guthrie siblings also made a plea to the captors, acknowledging that they had received a message and were willing to pay a ransom for their mother’s safe return. Savannah emphasized the importance of Nancy’s daily medication for her cardiac issues and pacemaker, stressing the need for proof of life to ensure her well-being.
This latest video comes after an initial plea for Nancy’s safe return, where Savannah, Camron, and Annie Guthrie implored the captors to provide evidence that their mother was alive. The family is holding onto hope and staying strong in their faith that Nancy will be reunited with them soon.
As the search for Nancy continues, Savannah and her family are relying on the support of the public to help bring her home. They are grateful for the prayers, love, and assistance they have received so far, and are hopeful that with the community’s help, Nancy will soon be safely reunited with her loved ones.
