A shocking incident occurred on the Upper West Side today, as a 47-year-old man was shot in broad daylight on Thursday morning. The shooting took place at the intersection of West 69th Street and Columbus Avenue around 9:20 a.m., leaving the victim wounded with gunshot wounds to his shoulder and leg. Thankfully, he was quickly transported to St. Luke’s Hospital and is currently in stable condition.

The suspect, described as a man in his 40s, is still at large. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, green jacket, tan pants, and carrying a black firearm. Authorities are actively searching for him, but the motive behind the shooting remains unknown at this time.

The scene of the crime was chaotic, with NYPD officers directing people and shattered glass covering the pavement. Onlookers gazed in shock at the aftermath of the violent incident. An image of the suspect has been released to aid in the investigation.

The safety of residents in the Upper West Side is of utmost importance, and authorities are working diligently to apprehend the suspect and ensure the well-being of the community. As details continue to unfold, the public is urged to remain vigilant and report any information that may assist in solving this crime.
