The highly anticipated series “Gone,” created by George Kay, known for his work on “Hijack,” “The Long Shadow,” and “Lupin,” has generated significant buzz at this year’s London TV Screenings. The psychological thriller has already secured impressive pre-sales across four continents, with a major deal on BritBox for the U.S. and Canada.

Starring David Morrissey and Eve Myles, “Gone” has also been picked up by top broadcast networks and streaming services in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and Europe. Partnerships include Norwegian public broadcaster NRK, Australian streaming service Stan, and Sky New Zealand, where the series will air on Three and stream on ThreeNow.

In Asia, A3Media International has secured a pre-sales deal with BBC Studios’ premium SVOD drama channel, BBC First, and its multi-genre SVOD platform, BBC Player. The six-part series will be a highlight at All3Media International’s London Screenings showcase.

Set to debut on ITV and ITVX in March, “Gone” follows the story of a headmaster at an elite English private school whose wife mysteriously disappears. Detective Annie Cassidy, played by Eve Myles, suspects foul play and a high-stakes cat-and-mouse game ensues between her and the secretive headmaster.

The show’s trailer sets the tone for a gripping narrative revolving around privilege, prejudice, and the search for truth. With a stellar cast and a tightly constructed plot, “Gone” promises to deliver sustained tension and broad audience appeal.

Written and created by George Kay, “Gone” is directed by BAFTA-winning Richard Laxton. The series boasts a talented ensemble cast including Jennifer Macbeth, Arthur Hughes, Nicholas Nunn, and Elliot Cowan, among others. Executive producers include Mark Hedges, Willow Grylls, and Matt Sandford.

While “Gone” is a work of fiction, it draws inspiration from real-life detective work and the book “To Hunt a Killer.” Former Detective Superintendent Julie Mackay and ITV Crime Correspondent Robert Murphy served as consultants on the show, adding a layer of authenticity to the compelling storyline.

With its atmospheric setting, complex characters, and gripping narrative, “Gone” is poised to captivate audiences worldwide. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new series as it prepares to make its mark on the international television landscape.
