Democrats on the House Oversight Committee seized a moment ripe for political maneuvering, showcasing how drama often seeps into the corridors of power.
Alternatively, one could interpret the situation as Oversight Committee Chair Rep. James Comer’s (R-KY) rather ambitious attempt to link former President Donald Trump’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein with the Clintons—a narrative that seems to keep giving, like a seasonal fruitcake that refuses to be consumed.

Following Hillary Clinton’s recent deposition, House Oversight Committee Ranking Member Robert Garcia (D-CA) kicked off his comments by emphasizing the significance of the event.
Garcia asserted:
Let me be absolutely clear about something that’s crucial, and it’s something Secretary Clinton herself has reiterated. She has never met Jeffrey Epstein, never stepped foot on his island, never boarded his plane, and had zero awareness of Epstein’s abhorrent crimes.
This indicates a complete lack of knowledge regarding any illicit activity. As you’ve likely heard, Secretary Clinton has been fully cooperative during the deposition, responding to inquiries with sincerity and integrity. What is simply unacceptable, however, is the Republican Oversight members violating the committee’s own established protocols with her team.
As many of you have reported, releasing unauthorized photos is not only inappropriate but a breach of trust, and it was commendable of the Secretary and her team to continue the deposition despite these infractions.
Garcia cleverly pointed out the Republicans’ tendency to target individuals with no ties to Epstein while conveniently overlooking those who do.
