Fox News is realizing that the camera reveals the truth. Despite days of reports about massive crowds at Donald Trump’s Great American State Fair, visual evidence suggests otherwise.
Trump’s rally at the fair’s opening reportedly attracted a few thousand attendees, with some estimates as low as 1,000. In contrast, Trump claimed on his Truth Social account that 45,000 people attended, expressing frustration over the smaller actual turnout.
Fox News continued to support Trump’s claims of large crowds despite clear evidence to the contrary, as seen in their broadcasts from the fair.
On Sunday morning, Peter Doocy remarked, “It’s really, it’s really something. And the weather, not the best today, but people are still coming out.” Yet, the scene behind him showed a sparse crowd.
Unless Peter Doocy is observing something unseen by others, the reality is a nearly empty venue, but Fox News remained undeterred.
